TWO NEW ADDITIONS TO OUR FLEET

19 November 2019

In July 2019, Auckland Cranes expanded the fleet with delivery of two new plant – a Grove GMK 7450 and Liebherr LTM 1160. Demand for these All-Terrain cranes meant they joined our family and were put to work immediately.

Our 450t GMK 7450 has been focused on installing new bridge beams as part of the $317m NZTA Southern Corridor Improvements Project set to be completed late 2019. The Project covers the stretch of Southern Motorway (SH1) from the SH20/SH1 connection at Manukau down to Papakura in the south. It includes additional lanes in both directions, upgraded Takanini Interchange, and a 4.5km shared use pedestrian / cycle path.

Our GMK 7450 has also completed a number of tower crane demobilisations using different fly combinations, and more recently installation of new light towers for Seddon Park Cricket Stadium in Hamilton.

Meanwhile, our LTM 1160 featuring 160t capacity has been primarily working as a general taxi hire crane in the Auckland region. Known for its fuel efficiency, the crane’s variable boom configurations offer a wide range of lifting applications.
