AUCKLAND CRANES LTD’S COVID-19 RESPONSE AND ACTION PLAN

31 March 2020

We are experiencing unprecedented operating conditions in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. As the situation continues to evolve we remain committed to supporting our people, our clients and our community. It is through a nation-wide team effort that we will together overcome this unique challenge.

Our CEO and Board of Directors are engaged as our response team to monitor, review and manage our response to the evolving situation, with the safety of our people, business resilience and continuity remaining our primary objectives. A bi-weekly online meeting of this group ensures we continue to understand and manage the ongoing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on our people, clients and community.

Our people

Our first priority always remains the health and safety of our people. Most of Auckland Cranes’ team has been safe at home since the Level 4 Shutdown was implemented. We are doing everything we can to support our team through this experience. If our staff can work from home, including our support team and management, then they will do so. Our operational and maintenance team members are on standby to support the continued functioning of all parts of our business as and when required.

All business meetings and events have been suspended. All domestic and international travel has also been suspended in line with government guidelines.

Minimising disruption to essential services clients

Auckland Cranes (incorporating Waikato Cranes) is still open to deliver lifting and transport solutions to essential services, including primary industries, utilities, and critical infrastructure clients. In doing so, we are committed to strictly complying with the guidance provided by the NZ Government including ensuring all appropriate measures are taken to minimise the transmission of COVID-19. We will only operate what is essential during the Alert Level 4 period. Our depots are closed, but our dispatch team is set up to work from home and our crew is on standby as needed with appropriate PPE and sanitisation products. If you are essential services and require a crane, HIAB truck or other heavy transport service you can still call us at 09 277 2227 or email dispatch@aucklandcranes.co.nz.

Please stay calm, safe and healthy during this difficult time! Do not hesitate to contact us if we can provide any support.
